Public areas are grand with plenty of seating and open areas.
The hotel's basement restaurant is unique with plenty of atmosphere and popular with the local bullfighters.
Our Review
Not the most luxurious of 5 star hotels but still a nice option for those who enjoy a bit of grandeur. A good central hotel which at times offers good value for money.
The hotel is a 5 star property of high standards like the majority of Melia Hotels. It's one of the most traditional hotels in Seville and its restaurant is the most highly rated in the world of bullfighting. The hotel's exterior is that of a traditional building dating from 1929, when the property was built. The hotel was renovated in 1988 and it features a very grand lobby, with a glass chandelier and a stained glass dome, which attracts your attention as soon as you enter. The seating area is comfortable and in general the lobby is decorated to a very high standard with carpeted floors and walnut covered wall panels and white ceilings. The Breakfast Room is also located just across the reception desk. Concierge service and currency exchange is also available at the reception desk. The Lobby Bar Majestic offers a wide selection of cocktails and drinks and is situated just off the lobby. The Hotel Colon is a convenient property for leisure travelers, being close to the historical centre of Seville, as well as business guests, since it offers five meeting rooms and a business centre. Due to the number of rooms that the hotel houses it is the ideal property for small and big number of groups.
