Perhaps a bit expensive -but then Hotels in Spain generally seem overpriced. Take 4 or 5 days to see the sites, all of which are in easy walking distance from this hotel.

For real Flamenco go to the museum and get their advice. You will avoid 'tourist flamenco'

Recommend requesting a room overlooking plaza. We were allocated a 'better' room on a narrow side street but it was 2 floors above the hotel's own 'Trinity Pub', used by the general public from the street, and the noise was horrific until after 2am. Management moved us after two nights without any objection but they had spare rooms during Feb.
Both view and peace infinitely better.

Eat out. Hotel's d/room had no atmosphere although food OK.
We flew from East Mids. (local) to Malaga then train to Seville. Train travel was superb and now high-speed!

Very good hotel, pleasant, efficient staff who speak good English. Excellent breakfasts with fresh fruit. No hot water on one out of four mornings our only complaint. The location is excellent: 10 mins to cathedral and Alcazar, five minutes from restaurants; taxi rank outside.
Top Tip
Taxi from airport should be about 20 euros. Go to Barrio Santa Cruz behind Alcazar for best eating area - garden squares, mediaeval streets. Plaza Nueva itself is lovely, and there was impromptu live Flamenco dancing and singing there one afternoon.

4 star and renovated, but very noisy. We could hear a man snoring in the room next to us and the phone ringing in another room (someone used it as an alarmclock but wasn't in the room to make it stop!)
The staff seemed to be professional in the beginning but then ruined it when I came in and asked them to order a taxi. In stead of first asking in which room I was staying this lady (Martinez) just looked at me and said 'no'. Ones she found out I was staying in the hotel she sort of apologized but not very convincing.
If you have the option NOT to stay at the back of the hotel do so as there is a bar opposite of the back of the hotel on the corner that does not close till 4 am on Friday and Saturday.(or try to get on a higher floor than the 2nd).
Location is perfect I must say and the cleaning ladies are worth a tip.

Off course the Alcazar cannot be missed. Be aware that it is not open on Sunday afternoon and Monday though.
Walk towards the golden tower and follow the river to your right and you'll find a nice grassy spot to enjoy the sun.
