Superb central location with great character, walking distance from most top attractions. Great views from rooftop terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not the greatest breakfast choice, but perfectly adequate. Because of narrow streets there is no vehicle access to the hotel. Public parking not far away but expensive. Five minutes walk to Cathedral.
Top Tip
Nearby transport links are good, so avoid coming by car if possible. Fantastic choice of local restaurants to suit all budgets.

Unless you have an unlimited budget this hotel is just perfect, certainly booking with this site. If there was any small disappointment it would be the breakfast choice. Sweetened orange juice, processed meats - otherwise just great.
Top Tip
Very good tapas bars near ny Gitano particularly good for quality and value. The Flamenco around the corner also just excellent, and value at 30 euros!

For 2** excellent place - 15 minutes walk to anywhere. Clean, comfy public areas, even a roof bar with views.
Beware of American High School groups - can arrive late or leave early and seem to lack courtesy in that they make noise, slam doors, drag cases etc. Pleasant in themselves.
Good staff - good standard of English spoken at the desk. Rooms kept very tidy/clean.
Breakfast is basic "cold" things but for 2* its fine.
Top Tip
Spoilt for choice in Tapas bars/restaurants. Cathedral a must, do a couple of museums, walk in the parks, Casa de la Memoria for Flamenco - get the desk to book tickets. Santa Cruz is a delight of small alley ways and plazas. Some brill buskers at night. Tapas bar right outside hotel usually shuts around midnight to one am then shutters and motorbikes as staff leave.

A lovely hotel in the heart of the town, very clean hotel and our rooms were cleaned everyday, breakfast is nice continental and sufficient, staff are friendly and helpful, there are vending machines near the foyer for cold drinks and confectionary but unfortuantly NO hot drinks.
Top Tip
Lots to see and do and a visit to the Cathdral is a must, we did the open topped tour bus at 10am before it got to hot it helped put distance into perpestive, everthing is in walking distance, but do put comfortable shoes on as there are lots of cobbled streets.
Lots of cafe/bars and resturants, great to walk around the Plaza's in the evening listening to the musicians sitting playing guitars and singing.
A taxi from the airport costs about 28 euros as it was Friday afternoon and classed as a weekend so the prices went up (10 mins journey) but the bus cost 2 euros & 30 cents so we got the bus (so simple)
We e-mailed the Hotel prior to our visit and they e-mailed us details of the bus service and the number of the bus and price and how to get to the Hotel when we got off the bus which was very helpful.

Easy to find on foot from Maria Justa train station (with the aid of Google maps). Can be noisy with the surrounding narrow alleyways but, if you adopt Spanish times, it's fine.
Top Tip
The Barrio Santa Cruz in which this hotel sits is just wonderful. A maze of narrow alleys intersperced with small squares full of orange trees. Very close to the cathedral. The number of bars make a tapas crawl very easy!

Comment
The hotel is situated in the historic centre, but in a quiet passage away from most of the noise and bustle. The hotel is clean and well decorated, the staff are courtious and helpful and most speak reasonable English. The bedroom we had was large clean and well decorated with facilities a little better than basic and a large and well provided modern bathroom. Like many hotels in the area there is no access by car to the front door, but a taxi can get to within 200 yds of the hotel.
Top Tip
Pay a visit to the Dona Maria hotel 5 mins walk away and have a drink in their terrace bar in the evening. A little expensive, but the view and the atmosphere are well worth it.

stayed 4 nights. Nice hotel, great location, easy atmosphere. Late breakfast a bonus up to 11am. Nice sitting area in lobby and airconditioning in rooms quiet and can be used comfortably at night. If you stay here you are near all the attractions.
Top Tip
Nice little bar/restaurant opposite hotel. Food the same price everywhere so choose carefully where you dine.
